How often do I really need a check-up?
For most people, twice a year is right. For some, more often makes sense. Here is how we decide.

A check-up every six months is a good rule for most adults and children. Small problems are found while they are still small, and a filling stays a filling.
Some people benefit from shorter intervals: those with gum problems, with braces or aligners, smokers, and people who get cavities easily. We tell you which group you are in and why.
A check-up is not only a look at the teeth. We check the gums, old fillings and the bite, and remove tartar where a toothbrush cannot reach.
If you have not been for years, come anyway. Nobody here counts the years. We start with a calm look and a plan, like at any first visit.
