3 seconds: that's all your site has before the customer leaves
On a phone, patience is short. Every extra second of loading sends some visitors back to Google, straight to a competitor.

Think of the last time you searched for something on your phone on the go. Did you wait ten seconds for a page to open? Probably not. Your customers don't either.
## Why every second counts
Google has said it clearly: mobile speed is a ranking factor. A slow site appears lower. And those who still reach it and see a white screen leave before they learn what you offer. You paid for the site, but the customer never saw it.
## What slows a site down
- Huge photos, uploaded straight from a phone, several megabytes each.
- Lots of plugins, each with its own files, loaded even when you don't use them.
- “One size fits all” templates, with animations and fonts your page doesn't need.
- Cheap, crowded hosting.
## How to find out how fast your site is
Go to PageSpeed Insights, enter your address and look at the mobile score. Green (90–100) is good. Orange means you're losing people. Red means you're losing many.
## How we build
Our sites are written by hand, without heavy plugins, with optimised images. That's why we guarantee a green score of at least 90 on mobile. Our example, raganadesign.shop, scores 100 in all four categories.
