4 reasons a Facebook page is no substitute for a website
A Facebook page is useful, but it isn't yours. It's like a poster taped to someone else's wall: it can disappear any time, and Google barely sees it.

Many small businesses start with a Facebook page, and that's a good start. The problem comes when the page becomes the business's only home online.
## 1. It isn't yours
The page lives on someone else's platform, under their rules. An account blocked by mistake, a new rule or a hacked page, and you disappear overnight, reviews and photos included.
## 2. Google shows it poorly
People searching “bakery Arad” on Google rarely get a Facebook page among the top results. A website with the right texts, linked to your Google profile, has a much better chance.
## 3. You don't control the shop window
On Facebook, ads, suggestions and sometimes competitors' pages appear next to your post. On your own site, customers only see what you want them to see.
## 4. Information gets lost in the feed
Prices, the menu, opening hours or the seasonal offer get buried under new posts. On a website, customers find everything on the first screen.
## What we do instead
Keep the Facebook page for posts and community, and make the website your main address: in your business's name, fast on a phone, with a WhatsApp button and linked to your Google profile. That's what we did for La Lavinia, a bakery in Arad that only had Facebook.
