ChatGPT recommends your competitor? 5 things AI needs to know about you

More and more people ask ChatGPT or Gemini “which business in town is good?”. The answer has two or three names. If you're not among them, you're not even on the shortlist.

AI assistants don't make up recommendations out of nothing. They gather what they find about businesses online and pick what seems clear and trustworthy. Here's what they need to find about you.

## 1. A complete Google profile
Correct categories, hours, photos, a description. Your Google profile is one of the sources assistants use to learn about local businesses.

## 2. The same details everywhere
Your name, address and phone number must be identical on your website, on Google, on Facebook and in directories. Contradictory details make assistants pick a business they're sure about.

## 3. Real reviews, with replies
Reviews say what kind of business you are, in your customers' words. Your replies add context.

## 4. A website that says clearly what you do
Simple texts: what you offer, where, for whom, at what price. Plus structured data, meaning information written into your site's code specifically for Google and assistants.

## 5. Answers to customers' questions
An FAQ section answers exactly what people and assistants ask: “how much”, “how long”, “do you deliver?”.

## What we can and can't promise
Nobody can guarantee that an AI assistant will recommend you. What we can do is make sure that when it looks for you, it finds clear and correct information. That's why we introduced our “AI visibility” service. You'll find it in the price calculator.
