La Lavinia: from nothing to Google Maps in two days.

A family cake shop in Arad making custom cakes and home-made pastries. It had happy customers. On Google, it barely existed.

Where it started

La Lavinia makes birthday cakes, children's cakes, christening and wedding cakes, pastry platters and savoury bakes. Orders came from word of mouth and Facebook.

Anyone searching "custom cakes Arad" didn't find it. The Google profile was unclaimed with no opening hours, and the postcode was wrong on Google and in directories. The website link pointed to Facebook.

Before

  • Unclaimed Google profile, no opening hours
  • No website, the link went to Facebook
  • Wrong postcode on Google and in directories
  • Logo only as a pixelated photo

After

  • lalavinia.ro, in the company's name
  • Cake carousel that changes colour
  • Text based on real searches in Arad
  • FAQ, structured data for Google, vector logo

What we did

Google profile

Claimed and verified it, fixed the postcode, filled in categories, hours and photos.

The lalavinia.ro site

A fast single page with the six product categories, photos from the kitchen and a map for collection.

Copy from real searches

We checked what people in Arad search for and wrote around those words: custom cakes, home-made pastries.

Order form

"Tell us what cake you'd like": the customer describes the cake, the shop gets the request by email.

Data for Google

Bakery and FAQ markup in schema.org, so Google understands exactly what the shop is.

Vector logo

The existing logo redrawn cleanly, so it looks right on the site, the boxes and the sign.

What you can take from this for your business

Check your Google profile first

A wrong postcode or missing hours can keep you off the map even with happy customers. Look your business up on Google Maps on your phone and check every line.

Your own website, not just Facebook

A Facebook page ranks poorly in Google and isn't yours. A simple site in your company's name should be where every link points.

Write the way customers search

People search "custom cakes Arad", not your name. Use those exact words naturally in headings and descriptions.

Make ordering easy

A short form or a WhatsApp button turns an evening visitor into an order. Every extra step loses customers.

The result

Two days after launch, the shop appeared correctly on Google Maps, with its address, hours and a link to its own website.

The site is on monthly care: hosting, daily backups, monitoring and a monthly report. The owner sent the review below on WhatsApp, unprompted.

„If I could leave a review higher than 5 stars, I would! I am very happy and delighted with the final result! My sales have grown since you started promoting my business online, and my business looks much nicer and is much easier for my customers to reach. Thaaank you!!!”
