Guarantees

What I promise in writing, and what it means in practice.

Plenty of web agencies promise "quality" and "reliability". I'd rather make promises you can check: with a date, a number, in your offer.

Every guarantee below is in your offer and in the terms you receive before you pay anything. If I don't keep one, you're entitled to what it says there. This page explains each guarantee in full, including its limits, so you know exactly what to expect.

Why guarantees in writing

Because a website is an investment, not pocket money. You should know up front what it costs, when it's ready and what you get.

Because the usual problems with web agencies are always the same: deadlines that slip, prices that grow, slow sites and agencies that stop replying. My guarantees answer exactly those.

And because I work alone, under my own name. My reputation rides on every client.

The six guarantees

Fixed deadline

Website in 7 working days, online shop in 14. The handover date is in your offer, counted from the day I have all texts and photos. If a project stalls for 60 days for lack of material, it may be paused.

PageSpeed 90+

Every site launches with at least 90 out of 100 on mobile in Google PageSpeed. If not, I optimise for free until it gets there. Check it yourself any time at pagespeed.web.dev.

Tested with Claude (Anthropic)

Before handover, the site is tested automatically: speed, display on phone, tablet and laptop, accessibility, links, spelling in every language and the data for Google. You get the test report.

Reply within 24 hours

On working days I reply within 24 hours by WhatsApp, phone or email. In my area (Arad, Békéscsaba, Gyula) I also come to see you in person.

Everything is yours

The domain is in your business's name. The site, texts, photos and logo are yours once paid in full. If you leave, you get the archive free, with no exit fee.

You see the price upfront

Work out the price yourself on the site, no sales call needed. The fixed price in your offer doesn't change. 50% at the start, 50% before handover.

Example: a dental practice website, day by day

An illustrative example, not a real client. A small dental practice orders a one-page website for €1,490. On Monday it signs the offer, handover date included, and pays 50%. The last photos arrive on Thursday, and the 7 working days start then.

Days 1-2: I build the first draft. Day 3: you tell me what to change, the design round. Days 4-5: I make the changes, then the correction round: a wrong phone number, a photo to swap. Day 6: the site is tested for speed, screens, links, spelling and Google data, and you get the report.

Day 7: you pay the second half, and the site goes live on a domain in the practice's name. If mobile PageSpeed were under 90, I'd optimise for free. Had the photos come three days late, handover would move by three days, no more.

The fixed prices

The same as in the price calculator:

What you get in writing, compared fairly

I'm one person too, like a freelancer. The difference is what's written in the offer.

What the test checks before handover

1. Speed

PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, image sizes, needless scripts.

2. Screens

Phone, tablet, laptop: nothing cut off, nothing overlapping, no sideways scrolling.

3. Content

Every link, spelling in every language, contact details, legal texts.

4. Google

Titles, descriptions, structured data, sitemap and submission to Google Search Console.

5 mistakes when choosing who builds your site

The domain is in someone else's name

Many people only find out when they want to leave that the domain is registered to the web agency. Without it you lose the address your customers know, and your email. Ask from day one for the domain to be in your business's name, and keep the login details.

Deadline and scope only agreed verbally

"Ready in two weeks" on the phone doesn't help when it becomes two months. Get the handover date, exactly what you receive and how many rounds of changes are included written into the offer. Anything not written down gets renegotiated later, usually not in your favour.

Paying everything upfront

If you've paid in full before you've seen the site, you have no leverage when things stall. A fair split is part at the start and the rest before handover, once you've seen the finished, tested site. That gives both sides a reason to finish.

Not asking what happens if you leave

Ask before you sign: do I get the site's files? Is there an exit fee? What does moving cost? If leaving is complicated, you lose the freedom to switch when you're no longer happy. The answers say a lot about the provider.

Sending material in dribs and drabs

A photo today, a text next week, the logo next month: that's how any project drags on, no matter who's building it. Collect your texts, photos, logo and contact details in one place and send them together. The deadline starts once everything is there.

Frequently asked questions

What if you miss the deadline?

The handover date is written in your offer and terms. If material is missing, the date moves by the days we waited.

How many rounds of changes do I get?

One design round and one round of corrections are included. Anything beyond that has a price you know in advance.

Is the test report in my language?

Yes, you get a summary in your language: what was checked and the results.

Can I stop monthly care at any time?

Yes, with 30 days' notice. You get the site archive for free. If you like, I move it to your own hosting for €99.

Why 50% at the start?

It reserves the days in my calendar for your project. You pay the second half before handover, once you've seen the finished site and the test report. You never pay for something unseen.

What counts as "all the material"?

Texts, photos, your logo if you have one, and your contact and business details. Once I have everything, I let you know, and the deadline runs from that day. If something is missing, handover moves by the days we wait.

Does monthly care include posts or new texts?

No. Care covers the automatic things: hosting, daily backup, monitoring, security, SSL and a monthly report. With the RAGANA Edit editor, you change texts, photos and prices yourself.
